Orbit

connecting…

A small SaaS that sells metered API access and bills for it through Zewst. The product is deliberately trivial — it shortens URLs. The commercial half is the point, and every step below is a real call to the platform. Nothing here is simulated.

1

The plans on sale

Read live from the platform's monetization surface — Orbit stores no catalogue of its own.

2

Creates a real billing customer and grants a signup bonus, so you can call the API before any card is on file. The grant is idempotent — signing up twice never pays twice.

3

Subscribe to a plan

The subscription is created on the platform and synced to the billing engine in the background.

4

Use the API — and watch it meter

Shorten a URL with the key issued at signup. Usage is recorded after the work succeeds, keyed on the unit of work, so a retry bills once. Your balance above falls as it happens.

5

What the operator sees

Orbit's own revenue, aggregated by the platform. A subscription with no billing-engine id will never be invoiced — surfaced here deliberately, because it is invisible everywhere else.
